Genealogy

The Kilmoe Union of Parishes holds a number of registers for this part of West Cork which can be of use to those doing genealogical research and you will find these listed below.

If you would like to look at the Parish Registers please contact the Rector to arrange a convenient appointment. If you are unable to make a visit in person, it may be possible for searches to be made on your behalf and arrangements for this can be made with the Rector.

As these are all original documents, we would ask that researchers bring pencils to make notes while they are consulting the registers and not pens or markers. 


Fees for searches in Registers of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials

The following scale of fees was approved by the General Synod in 2002:
 
• Searches of up to one hour €20

• For each additional hour or part of an hour €20
 
• Each additional certified copy €10
 
Reduced fees are applicable for searches and the issue of certified copies for social insurance/national insurance purposes
